The TA Extends the Wave 4, Stage 1 Request for Planning Funding (RFPF) Deadline
June 28, 2006, Washington, D.C. - The TA announces that the Wave 4, Stage 1 deadline for RFPF submissions has been extended from July 1, 2006 to August 14, 2006.
As previously noted, the TA estimates that more than half of the licensee population requiring planning funding will be able to use
the Fast Track Option, which provides a means for licensees and Sprint Nextel to streamline their efforts to execute a PFA. "The PFA
Fast Track Option expedites the planning funding process, and provides licensees more runway time to reach a Frequency Reconfiguration
Agreement (FRA) and prepare for the actual retuning process," said Brett Haan, Director of the TA.
As a reminder, below are the RFPF deadlines for other Waves and Stages:

RFPF deadlines are necessary to ensure that reconfiguration proceeds on schedule per the FCC's Report and Order. If you miss the deadline, you should incorporate any necessary planning costs into the Cost Estimate for the Frequency Reconfiguration Agreement (FRA). Planning funding requests submitted after the deadline will not be accepted without adequate explanation as to why funding is required prior to negotiating an FRA.
Once you have completed your RFPF Form and accompanying Statement of Work (SOW), please forward it directly to the TA. Please note that all RFPF submissions must be completed in the template format provided by the TA, RFPF Template Version 2.6.
To obtain additional information on the overall reconfiguration process and specific instructions for completing an RFPF, please visit the TA's website at www.800TA.org.
